In India many people speak different languages in different parts. Most the languages in India are seperated into several different families. The major ones being Indo European, Indo Aryan, Dravidian languages and Hindi. The official language of the Republic of India and is spoken by more than half the population, mostly in the Northern half of the country. The second largest language in India is English and many children especially in the city were brought up on it since the British used to rule India. Also each state in Southern India speaks its own language with many different dialects in each language. Tamil Tadu's is Tamil, Andra Pradesh's is Telegu, Karnataka's is Kanada and Kerala's is Malayam.

Malayam: Malayam is one of the four major Dravidian languages of southern India and the language of Kerela. It is spoken by 35.9 million people in India, Middle East, North America, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Europe.
Manipuri: It has about 1.4 Million speakers and is spoken in India, Burma and Bangladesh.
Marathi:Spoken in Maharashtra and Bombay(Mumbai) and has 80 million speakers world wide.
Nepali: Spoken in India, Nepal and Burma it has 31 million speakers.
